HPTC in Information Systems Technology And Programming
The higher technician in Technologies and Programming of Information Systems will be able to, autonomously or as part of a team, plan, implement and carry out applicational software maintenance for web context, whether distributed or mobile. The senior technician will also be able to conceive and optimize Information Systems in several contexts, with the ability to adapt to emerging technologies.
The course is structured in four (4) academic semesters, comprised of sixteen (16) curricular units. Three (3) of these curricular units are of general and scientific training, which correspond to 18 ECTS credits, twelve (12) curricular units are of technical training, which correspond to seventy-two (72) ECTS credits, and one (1) curricular unit is related to training in a work context, component, corresponding to thirty ECTS credits.

Career Opportunities and Employability
The Higher Technician in Technologies and Programming of Information Systems course trains technicians to have a level 5 professional profile, by fostering skills related to planning, implementing and maintaining Information Systems. It will enable technicians to carry out tasks related to the development of client and server application in web context. Holders of a higher technician diploma may apply for an undergraduate degree, either at polytechnic institutions or universities, under the special contest meant for them.

Students of High School Professional Courses, especially those within the fields or with subjects related to informatics and/or computer networks; Professionals who work in the field of informatics, that intend to start a career in computer programming and web systems.
