Overall objectives:
1 - Provide students with familiarization with the basic concepts of tourism;
2 - Understand the complexity of tourism in its systemic relationships;
3 - Identify the different types of tourism; Identify the agents of the tourism system;
4 - Understand the organizational structure of tourism;
5 - Identify the players in the tourism system and their responsibilities;
6 - Develop a critical reflection on what tourism planning should be.

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)
Evaluation Methodology:
Use of expository and interactive methods; performing practical exercises in the classroom, in a group; research and considerations on statistics and tourism policies and strategies at local, regional and national levels. The assessment will be based on written tests and practical work giving relevance to the students' continuous work in the classroom.
