Overall objectives:

1 - Provide a first contact of students with contexts and practices of the profession of psychologist;
2 - Promote the development of skills to observebehaviors and interactions;
3 - Contextualize observations in progressively more complex reading frames from a theoretical point of view;
4 - Promote reflexive thinking and cooperative work.

Syllabus:

1 - Observation as a basis for knowledge, evaluation and intervention in Psychology.
1.1 - Observe: why and for what?
1.2 - Moments of the observational process.
1.3 - Systematic and informal observation.
1.4 - Types and modalities of observation.
2 - Characterization of organizations and institutions.
2.1 - Mission and objectives of the institution.
2.2 - Description of facilities and equipment.
2.3 - Organization chart.
2.4 - Functions and dynamics of the teams.
2.5 - The role of the psychologist in the institution.
3 - Identification of interventions and problematics
4 - Report the data of an observation.

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
Teaching methodologies will include thematic seminars and practical activities developed in the partner institutions. There will also be presentation of illustrative cases, group activities and discussion of practical exercises. Participation in the different proposed activities is evaluated: analysis of texts and construction of observation tools, production of individual and group written reports that allow the evaluation of the application of acquired knowledge and techniques.
