Overall objectives:
1 - The objectives of this course are, basically, to put into practice the knowledge acquired in the various training units that are part of the course plan. The objective of the course is to train a Superior Technician in Information Systems Technologies and Programming; the purpose of the internship is to apply, in the work context, the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired in class. The Superior Technician in Information Systems Technologies and Programming is the professional who, independently or under guidance / integrated into a team, is able to plan, implement and maintain computer applications for an organization, with the ability to respond to challenges posed in environments competitive working conditions, namely in monitoring technological developments, as well as responding to emerging challenges from a commercial, organizational and social point of view.
Syllabus:
1 - Build computer applications and other information systems.
2 - Design and handle a database with a view to solving business or other problems and supporting the respective information systems.
3 - Implement information systems based on Web technologies, using classic computer systems and mobile devices.
4 - Configure and manage information systems applications in organizations.
5 - Create software specifications using the main software development methodologies and techniques.
6 - Produce quality software, well organized and obeying a number of conventions.
7 - Design and implement intuitive and easy-to-use interfaces, respecting usage and accessibility standards.
8 - Manage, maintain and monitor systems, networks, servers and services.
9 - Consult and produce documentation in Portuguese and English.

Assesssment methods and criteria:
Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)
Evaluation Methodology:
The methodologies used involve: performing practical or applied tasks; experimentation and development of solutions to specific problems; research and analysis of related bibliographic content, and preparation of the final report. The intern's performance, in the internship will be evaluated by the advisor, after tutor listening, based on the following criteria: a) attendance; b) observation of the hosting entity rules; c) commitment to carrying out the tasks assigned; d) realization of the internship plan; e) skills and aptitudes demonstrated in the implementation of the plan and tasks execution; f) ability to implement in practice the acquired knowledge and skills; g) quality of the internship report; h) theoretical basis of the internship report; i) discussion of the reports contents. The trainee will be evaluated as follows: practi-cal, 50% of the final grade weight (25% defined by the tutor and 25% by the advisor); report and presentation, 50% of the weight in the final grade.
