Overall objectives:
1 - Identify and describe person's basic human needs throughout the life cycle, based on the model of Basic Human Needs Maslow;
2 - Identify and describe the dynamics regarding the satisfaction of basic human needs;
3 - Know and demonstrate understanding about functional dynamics related to the health-disease continuum model;
4 - Identify manifestations of dissatisfaction of needs, malaise and suffering;
5 - Understand the satisfaction of the basic human needs of individuals in different health care contexts;
6 - Know the nature of different contexts and their importance for the well-being of the person;
7 - Identify the characteristics of its professional role in their quality.

1 - Life cycle stages;
2 - Hierarchization of human needs according to Maslow;
3 - Main basic human needs at different stages of the life cycle;
4 - Relationship between the health/disease continuum and the satisfaction of basic human needs throughout the life cycle in different contexts.

Classification Type: Quantitative (0-20) Evaluation according to model B of the UMa learning assessment regulation, notably in normal season: 1 frequency (50%), 1 group work (50%) The approval of the curricular unit implies approval in all components (minimum 9.5 values). There is a possibility of recovery at a time of resource/improvement or special. The final classification is expressed on the scale of 0 to 20 values and is the responsibility of the teacher.
