Overall objectives:
1 - Understand the evolution of entrepreneurship as an area of research.
2 - Characterize the entrepreneur; assess the importance of the entrepreneurial environment.
3 - Characterize entrepreneurial activity in Portugal.
4 - Understand the various elements that make up the entrepreneurial process.
5 - Encourage students to search for, identify and evaluate business opportunities.
6 - Develop skills in the analysis and interpretation of case studies of entrepreneurship in the tourism sector.
7 - Develop skills in preparing and presenting a business plan.

Evaluation Methodology:
Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20) The aim is to acquire and apply the knowledge foreseen in the objectives and syllabus contents. The evaluation of the Course Unit includes the completion of a frequency with a weight of 50% and a work with a weight of 50% in the classification of the Course. Both evaluation elements can be recovered at the appeal season. Student workers can recover 100% of the final grade in the exam at the time of appeal or in the special season.
