Overall objectives:

1 - Recognize the key role of auditing in modern organizations.
2 - Differentiate between external and internal audit and identify the key elements in the audit process.
3 - Identify the most appropriate internal control procedures for the different areas.
4 - Interpret key elements of the legal account certification process.
5 - Design and apply a simple audit process and learn about the different types of opinion.
6 - Know and interpret the main auditing standards in Portugal.
7 - Prepare simple audit reports.

Evaluation Methodology:
The evaluation of the Course Unit includes the completion of two tests with a weight of 50% each. These two elements of assessment can be recovered at the time of appeal and be subject to improvement.
