Overall objectives:

1 - O1. To understand the relevance of learning about the organization of institutions that promote wellbeing (health services, schools, companies) for their intervention as future psychologists.
2 - O2. Provide students with knowledge and skills appropriate to the development of institutional environments that foster wellbeing, focusing on the positive aspects of the human functioning of institutions.
3 - O3. Acquire skills to create and participate in projects to promote health and wellbeing and prevent risky behaviours in clinical, health and wellbeing institutions.

Syllabus:

1 - Institutions that promote wellbeing: definition and characteristics
1.1. - Promotion of healthy working environments in clinical, health and/or other organizations (for example: education, tourism).
1.1.1. - Organizational dynamics and procedures for promoting wellbeing.
2 - Wellbeing promotion programs in institutional settings
2.1 - Research and empirical evidence of good practices in promoting health and wellbeing in organizations.
2.2. - Strategies to promote optimal human functioning in different institutional contexts: health, education, and social organizations.
3 - Projects to promote health and well-being and prevent risky behaviour in real institutions, including specific populations (ex. tourism), and crisis situations (ex:pandemic).

Assesssment methods and criteria:

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
Teaching methodologies will focus on developing practical seminars, whenever possible presented in collaboration with experts and stakeholders in the field. Activities in real insitutions will be developed(ex: shadowing, interviews,etc) The demonstrative and active methods will also be used, including analysis and discussion of case studies in theoretical-practical classes, equally promoting individual and group works. The assessment will take into account a practical assignment (50%) and an oral presentation (50%).
