Overall objectives:
1 - Know the theoretical, technical and ethical references that must be combined in a psychological consultation
2 - - Develop technical skills, namely in terms of verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, empathy, understanding and returning information, appropriate to the different stages of the consultation process;
3 - Be able to adapt technical skills according to the client's characteristics, the different stages of the process and the context of the intervention (individual or group, in person or at distance).
Syllabus:
1 - The specificity of the psychological consultation process in relation to other forms of counseling
2 - Theoretical models of reference.
3 - The different phases of the counseling process (establishment of relationship, process development, process conclusion and information sharing) and their specificities in terms of objectives, core processes and communicational dynamics.
4 - Feedback (verbal and written) of the therapeutic process.
5 - Online psychological counseling process.
6 - Specificities of psychological counseling with children and adolescents.
7 - The framing of psychological counseling in multidisciplinary intervention contexts.
8 - Ethical and deontological framework for psychological counseling

Assesssment methods and criteria:
Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)
Evaluation Methodology:
Emphasis on active methodologies: role-plays, simulated practice, video analysis and discussion. Assessment: 2 group assignments (critical analysis of group role-play, based on a script provided by the teacher; theoretical essay on a topic to be defined) (50%+50%). The curricular unit can be recovered at improvement /appeal period through an individual essay (100%).
