Overall objectives:

1 - In this master?s curricular unit students will be provided with the knowledge, skills, and tools to analyse the context in which family businesses evolve; also of relevance will be the discussion of the challenges to business development posed by family ownership structure.
2 - Additionally, issues related to corporate governance of family business will be addressed as well as the relevant topic of succession.

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
The classes sought to reconcile the theoretical context with the participatory analysis of case studies and the discussion of scientific articles. The regime will allow students to prepare themselves conveniently to carry out a group work and also to prepare a review. In addition to participating in classroom activities, students must present an individual work written in an academic article format, for the necessary training for the subsequent elaboration of the dissertation. Assessment: one theoretical-practical work (50%) and one review (50%). Recurso period: Global exam with 100% weighting.
