General objectives defined for the study programme:
a) Develop skills for professional practice in hotel units and in their functional management structures, including technical skills in accounting, finance, strategy and marketing, communication and culture, and technic-operational dimensions (accommodation, food and beverages, maintenance, safety, quality, human resources);
b) Value the application of knowledge, combining leadership skills with professional competences in the course intervention areas;
c) Provide information and solutions relevant to the development of proactive management capabilities, considering the internal and external multifactorial contexts of the hotel business;
d) Develop supervisory and strategic management capacities, following the good practices applicable to the sector;
e) Inculcate the need for a high degree of autonomy and lifelong learning.

Candidates

This course is aimed at those interested in management in the tourism, hospitality and restaurant sectors. Students may apply via national contest providing they successfully passed one of the entrance examinations, as required. Candidates may also apply by transferring course/institution or via specific contest set out in the International Student Statute.
