Undergraduate Degree in Design
The main objective of this undergraduate degree is to train professionals to be able to answer to the problems and project requests that come up with efficiency, quality, creativity and innovation.
During this degree, students will acquire knowledge within the scope of communication design, product design, space design, strategic design and web design, being in contact with theoretical, methodological and practical tools in order to optimize and enrich project development.
This degree aims to favour the acquisition and development of: solid and broad knowledge in various fields of Design; knowledge of the historical, philosophical and sociological context of Design; social and environmental awareness of Design related to quality of the products used.
Partnerships are often established with public and private entities with the objective of bringing students closer to the work context. These partnerships give undergraduates the possibility to see their ideas confronted with the professional reality and with the territory they operate.

The cycle of studies of the Undergraduate Degree in Design is comprised of 6 semesters (3 academic years). Those who obtain 180 ECTS are awarded the title.

Career Opportunities and Employability
Undergraduates will be capable of facing the national and international market demands and will be qualified not only in the main fields of Design but also in the Newmedia fields. Undergraduates will be able to practice in the fields of graphic design, editorial design, corporate image design, product design, furniture design, multimedia and web design.
Candidates
This degree is directed to those interested in developing their knowledge and critical stance in the field of Design and motivated by the resolution problems related to human well-being and planet sustainability. Candidates may apply via the National Higher Education Access Contest providing they successfully passed one of the required admission exams. Candidates may also enrol via special regimes such as course/institution transfer, through one of the Special Contests in force or the International Student Statute.
