Overall objectives:

1 - The different stages of an audiovisual production.
2 - The specificities of pre-production and production.
3 - The language and audiovisual narrative.
4 - The correct handling of production equipment (camera, lighting and sound).

Syllabus:

1 - Brief overview of author's fiction films.
2 - Technical specificities of videographic image. Registration of image and sound.
3 - Video camera functions. Auxiliary equipment. Digital video techniques.
4 - The cinematographic language and the audiovisual narrative.
5 - Pre-production: from idea to script. Synopsis, plot and technical script. Storyboard.
6 - Audiovisual production (direction of photography and interpretation).
7 - Fundamentals of video and sound editing.

Assesssment methods and criteria:

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
Lectures of a expositive nature (content presentation) and demonstrative classes (demonstration and handling of the equipment, accomplishment of technical and expressive exercises and laboratory practice). Continuous evaluation: individualized pedagogical and didactic follow-up and a balance at the end of each applied exercise. Periodic evaluation: work/exercise proposals: analysis of the phases of the work. Technical and formal experimentation. No element may have a weighting of more than 50%. The evaluation comprises: 5% Practical work not recoverable in the recourse exam; 20% Non-recoverable practical work; 30% Recoverable practical work; 40% Recoverable practical work.
